Once upon a time, high in the mountains, an eagle laid an egg in her nest. But one day, a fierce storm swept through the land, causing the egg to roll down the mountainside and land in a chicken farm nestled in a valley. The farmer, seeing the egg, mistook it for a chicken's egg and placed it under a mother hen to hatch.

In time, the eagle egg hatched, and out came a small, fluffy eaglet. The eaglet grew up surrounded by chickens, learning their ways, scratching the ground for food, and clucking just like them. It believed it was a chicken because that was all it had ever known.

Years passed, and the eagle, now fully grown, continued to live as a chicken. It never tried to fly higher than the barn roof, for it didn’t know it could soar beyond the clouds. One day, as the eagle scratched the ground with the other chickens, it noticed a shadow pass over the farm. Looking up, it saw a magnificent bird soaring high in the sky, wings spread wide, gliding effortlessly on the wind.

"Who is that?" the eagle asked one of the chickens.

"That's an eagle," the chicken replied. "The king of the skies. But don’t bother about it. You're a chicken, and chickens don’t fly like that."

The eagle, believing itself to be a chicken, sighed and looked back down at the ground. But something inside it stirred, a feeling it couldn’t quite understand. It couldn’t stop watching the eagle soaring above, feeling a pull to the skies it had never felt before.

One morning, as the sun rose over the horizon, the eagle felt a strong urge to try something new. With a burst of courage, it spread its wings wide and began to flap. The other chickens laughed, mocking the eagle's attempts. But the eagle didn’t stop. It flapped harder and harder, and suddenly, it felt its feet lift off the ground.

The eagle soared up into the sky, higher than it ever dreamed possible. For the first time, it felt the wind beneath its wings, the power of flight, and the freedom of the open sky. Looking down, it saw the farm, the chickens still pecking at the ground, unaware of the vast world beyond.

In that moment, the eagle realized it had never been a chicken. It was always meant to fly, to soar high above the earth. It had spent its life believing it was something small, never knowing the greatness it held within. Now, free in the skies, the eagle embraced its true nature and never looked back.

And so, the eagle lived the rest of its days among the clouds, fulfilling its destiny as the king of the skies, no longer bound by the limits it once believed in.

The lesson? You may grow up in a world that limits you, but you were meant for more than you can imagine. Never forget the greatness within you, no matter how long it takes to discover it.
